Climate change on the St. John River

An environmental group has identified key climate change hazards for communities along the St. John River including more power outages, groundwater contamination and telecommuniations disruptions.

WWF-Canada says we’re already seeing more extreme flooding events, blizzards and ice due to climate change. It has set up a website where people can take a closer look at projected climate change impacts. It includes suggestions on how Woodstock, Hartland and Florenceville-Bristol can adapt.

More changes at the courthouse

People in Kings and Charlotte Counties people will have to adapt to a new routine at the Saint John provincial court. They will no longer go straight to Courtroom One.

Starting March 6th, people from those counties will join the mix of those from Saint John and the Kennebecasis Valley when it comes to attending court.  This will even-out the judicial workload as the government integrates courts from Sussex, St. Stephen; and Grand Manan.
