Two Vehicles Flee Halifax Police in Dartmouth

A pair of drivers refused to stop for Halifax police on the same street in Dartmouth last night. Shortly before 8pm a Jeep Patriot refused to stop for a marked police car on Albro Lake Road. The vehicle fled but was eventually located on Leman Drive and a lone male occupant was seen fleeing from the vehicle. The suspect is still at large.

In a separate incident about an hour later, a Red Chevrolet Cobalt refused to stop for a marked police car on Albro Lake Road. The suspect vehicle was tracked to Farrell Road where three male occupants fled on foot but the 21-year-old driver from North Preston was arrested at the scene. He’s facing charges of evading police, unsafe storage of ammunition and obstructing police.

Halifax Police Investigating Home Invasion in Timberlea

Halifax Police are investigating a home invasion in Timberlea on Friday night. Police say two men wearing ski masks broke into a residence on St.Margaret’s Bay Road around 11pm. A 21-year-old man who lived at the home was sprayed with an irritant but the suspects left without stealing anything. The victim did not require medical attention. A K-9 unit was brought in but police were unable to locate the suspects.
