A marine salvage company is expanding its business in Sydport.
Heddle Marine Services in Westmount is taking on more employees to handle the demobilization of a barge used in the Hebron offshore oil project. Regional Manager Mike Moore told the Cape Breton Post the workforce here is expected to grow to more than 25 employees. The company, which was founded in Ontario, has facilities there as well as Halifax, Saint John and Newfoundland and Labrador.
