The Moncton Fish Market has sent hundreds of pounds of food to the Acadian Peninsula. Thousands there are still without power after the ice storm, which happened a week ago now. The company brought 380 pounds of breaded fish and 200 pounds of salmon.

Brent Hawkes acquitted
Brent Hawkes has been acquitted of sex charges. The Toronto pastor was accused of incidents in the 70s when he taught in the Valley, but a judge gave a not guilty verdict for gross indecency and indecent assault. Alan Tufts said the complainant gave vivid testimony but it was contradicted by other evidence, and he didn’t believe Hawkes entirely but the Crown couldn’t prove the case.
