Expedia.ca has named Sydney one of the “14 Most Romantic Places in Canada.” The travel site searched over 400,000 social conversations that used phrases like “date ideas,” “first date,” “romance,” and “got engaged.” Finding mentions per capita, Sydney was highlighted for places like the boardwalk. New Minas tidal tussle
The tidal turbine case was back in court yesterday. The Bay of Fundy Inshore Fishermen’s Association wants the Supreme Court to put off provincial approval of the project, saying it’s based on bad science. The test turbine was installed in the Minas Passage in November, but the fishermen’s lawyer says Cape Sharp Tidal didn’t give enough data about the bay prior to that.
