Quispamsis and Rothesay get much less equalization money than Riverview, and councillors are bothered by that. The three towns are in the province’s “large residential municipalities” group. Emil Olsen of Quispamsis told the Telegraph-Journal Riverview is getting all the money that our local towns have lost over the years. Olsen thinks it’s a penalty for being frugal with tax money.

Deer jumps through house window
A deer jumped through the front window of a Saint John house. Police say six were crossing the road when one was hit. It then panicked and ended up in the house, but was out before police got there.
