Hundreds went out locally for yesterday’s rally in support of teachers. It was held at the North Sydney Mall ahead of Wednesday’s vote on the latest tentative contract. Two previous agreements have been rejected, and work-to-rule has been going on for two months.

Little Judique dead seals
DFO is investigating after seals were found dead on a beach near Little Judique. They were tipped off last Wednesday and found five had been shot. The seal harvest isn’t open right now in that area.
