New Brunswickers have their power back. Customers on the Acadian Peninsula were fully connected again as of last night. Warming centres are still open for those who need them, and volunteers and public-safety employees are still helping including going door-to-door. The province will re-evaluate today and the army will stay, although it’s now phasing out troops.

Motion for possible vehicle shelter bylaw at Common Council
Common councillor Donna Reardon is proposing a possible bylaw to regulate seasonal vehicle shelters. The Telegraph-Journal reports she’ll do it at today’s meeting, having been the recipient of several complaints. People are apparently annoyed with some of the usually canvas or plastic shelters being left up beyond winter, as they can suffer damage and be an eyesore.
