The recent busyness at the Halifax Infirmary’s ER has caused issues. Two patients have had to go in a private room, with the Health Authority’s Brian Butt telling CTV it’s only happened once and is a last resort. The NSGEU is concerned about employee workload and patient safety.

NB budget out today
The provincial budget is coming out today. A government source says college grants and student financial assistance will go up, plus funding for research and strategic initiatives. Our net debt was forecast to hit $13.4 billion by the end of March.
