The City has lifted the boil-water order for Westmorland Road and area.
If you have been using your water over the past few days, you don’t need to do anything else, since the water in the pipes has been effectively flushed. But if you have been away for the last few days, then you should turn your taps on for several minutes to get rid of the standing water in your pipes.
Two RCMP officers were injured Friday night trying to arrest a man.
The Times and Transcript reports they got a call to a restaurant about a man with a knife. The man was asking for help and did not appear to be trying to rob the place. The two officers were injured trying to arrest the man. They were treated and released from hospital. The suspect also received received minor injuries. Police say he may have been suffering from a pre-existing mental health condition and remains in hospital.
