A Sydney Mines man will be sentenced tomorrow for a number of thefts.
John Charles Ford pleaded guilty earlier to four counts of theft and two of breaching court orders. Other charges were dismissed.
The 41 year old was charged after incidents in Sydney River, North Sydney and Membertou between February and June of last year.
A hiker had to be rescued at Duncan’s Cove on the weekend. A fire department rescue boat was able to get to the injured man. He was hiking the Chebucto Head Trail when he slipped and suffered a suspected broken ankle. The boat took him to the wharf in Ketch Harbour wharf and then he was transported by ambulance to hospital.
