Bill 75 has passed third and final reading. The legislation sends 9300 public school teachers in Nova Scotia back to regular work, imposing a contract after three previous tentative ones were shot down by union members. Among it, the Council to Improve Classroom Conditions will give teachers direct input on how $20 million is invested.

Care up, cleanliness satisfaction down: NB hospital patient survey
A new survey of New Brunswick hospital patients finds overall satisfaction with care has increased, but cleanliness is down. The 2016 Hospital Patient Care Experience found 78.9% of patients were satisfied, up from 75.4 per cent in 2013. Only 51.7% said their room and bathroom were always clean, down from 53.2%.
