Anti-energy move in BC

The City of Vancouver is launching another legal challenge to try to stop the Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain pipeline expansion.

Council members have voted to hold a judicial review of the province’s environmental assessment of the project  Last summer, the council also launched a legal challenge of the National Energy Board’s approval.

The pipeline expansion will mean tanker traffic in Burrard Inlet will increase by seven times.

North Korea incident

Communist North Korea says Malaysia’s investigation into the death of the half brother of its leader is full of holes and contradictions.

Malaysian police have not named the North Korean government as being behind the death of Kim Jong Nam, but they are searching for several North Korean suspects.

Leader Kim Jong Un’s half brother was killed earlier this month at an airport in Kuala Lumpur.
