Drug search in Waycobah

The Street Crime Enforcement Unit of Inverness District RCMP searched a home in Waycobah on February 16, following an investigation. This resulted in the seizure of quantities of marihuana products and oxycodone pills.

Brett Waters and Patricia Bernard, of Waycobah First Nation, were arrested following the search. They were released later that day and have both been charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance. They are scheduled to attend Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court on March 27.

Charges for hospital disturbance

A 27 year old man is facing a number of charges after a disturbance at Saint John Regional Hospital Tueday night.

Police were called because of a man yelling at staff and other patients in the emergency department. They arrived and he resisted arrest. Police found botles of saline and syringes on him and took him to the police station where he continued to resist.

James Reilly O’Hearon was in court yesterday on four charges, including theft, causing a disturbance and resisting arrest. The case has been adjourned until April so he can find a lawyer.
