Sydney sex assault jail time

A Sydney man is going to prison for six years for multiple sexual assaults and forcible confinement.

22 year old Tyler Rudderham was found guilty of multiple counts and yesterday the judge gave him six years.  With crdit for time served in custody, he has two years and four months left.  He initially was charged with 37 offences in Sydney between December of 2013 and September of 2014, and was found guilty on 23 involving the same woman who suffered permanent nerve damage to her face.

Donkin Mine project

Transportation Minister Geoff MacLellan says the province will partner with Kameron Collieries to build a road to haul coal from the Donkin Mine to the port so it can be shipped overseas.

MacLellan told the Cape Breton Post they’re doing a traffic study to determine the best route, but the coal road will run along the former rail bed south of Dominion Street and come out by the airport.  The government and the company are still working on the cost-sharing agreement for the 7 kilometre road.
