The Tribune reports a statement of claim saying officers of a New Brunswick municipality – except auditors – can’t be fired unless there’s just cause. Her lawyers allege saving money isn’t that, which was said to be behind last summer’s move.

Suspicious deaths
Police continue to investigate the suspicious deaths of two people in a room at the Best Western Hotel on Major Brook Drive on the east side Tuesday evening. A 26 year old male and a 22 year old female were discovered, with the cause of death yet to be determined.
