Closing ceremonies held for Canadian Francophone Games

Closing ceremonies for the seventh Canadian Francophone Games were held Saturday in Dieppe.  Participants competed in arts, leadership and sports events over five days.  The national event is held every three years, and will be in Victoria in 2020.  It features 1200 competitors.

Protest in Shediac over Parlee Beach water quality, proposed campground

Protesters marched upon Shediac Town Hall yesterday, speaking out about Parlee Beach and the proposed campground.  Organized by the Save Wetlands, Waters and Tourism Coalition; people rallied against how long it takes to get water quality results processed, among other things.  A discrepancy between the beach display and government numbers of unsuitable-swimming days is also an issue.
