The crime rate in the greater Moncton area dropped last year by 9% over 2015, according to the Times and Transcript.
Reports for things like thefts, mischief, disturbing the peace calls all fell according to Stats-Can. But there was a 62% increase in the number of robberies of 62%.

The body of 50 year old Ronald Richard was found on a rural property in Hardwood Ridge Sunday. An autopsy is underway to determine the exact cause of death but no other details are being released yet. The Mounties don’t believe this was random.
