The Council on Aging has presented recommendations in a new strategy called We Are All in This Together. The 17-member council has proposed actions including making the province more age-friendly, and establishing it as a leader in aging research and social innovation. Other recommendations focus on a dementia strategy, improved training and incentives for caregivers; and enhancing communication among health professionals.

Dominic Cardy has joined the Progressive Conservatives. The former New Brunswick NDP leader will serve as the Tories’ strategic issues director. The move was rumoured ever since he resigned this month due to party infighting, with Cardy mentioning the respect he has for PC Leader Blaine Higgs.
