A man was arrested at a Moncton gas bar following a high spped highway chase on Friday. A vehicle was pulled over for a traffic stop on the Trans-Canada Highway in the Havelock area, but the vehicle then sped off. The driver was taken into custody at a gas station on Horsemen Road shortly before 1:30 in the afternoon. Drugs and weapons were found in the car.

NewLeaf Drops Moncton Flights
Officials at the Moncton airport do not believe that NewLeaf Airlines will stop flying into the city, even though Moncton is nowhere on the low-fare airline’s summer schedule. The Winnipeg-based airline says that as of May 1st, it will schedule more frequent flights between Abbotsford, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Hamilton and Halifax, while dropping both Moncton and Kelowna. Airline officials say that was a business decision, with various factors in favour of it.
