A Moncton woman is facing an additional charge in connection with that nine hour police standoff a couple of weeks ago on High Street, according to CBC.

26 year old Stephanie Mawson was in court yesterday on a charge of breach of probation but remains free for now on conditions. She’s also facing accessory charges after the standoff at an apartment building which ended with the arrest of 25 year old Daniel Beaupre. He remains in custody until a bail hearing July 19th.

A moose is back in the woods after a day of sightseeing in the big city.

RCMP were called Sunday about a moose stolling down Assomption Boulevard, through the RCMP’s parking lot and onward until he was finally corraled by officers on Highfield Street behind the Crown Plaza Hotel. Then wildlife officers got there and tranquilized him. Now he’s back out in the woods.
