It’s the biggest group of refugees to cross the border at Emerson, Manitoba, so far this year.
Another 29 asylum-seekers followed railway tracks and gravel roads across the snowy border from Saturday to Monday. Local officials say there’s no indication the numbers will be slowing anytime soon. So far this year, 300 refugees have been found crossing the border…and those are just the ones caught.
FBI Director James Comey has refuted President Donald Trump’s accusation that Barack Obama tapped phones at Trump Tower during the election campaign.
Comey says he looked carefully inside the bureau and found no evidence to support Trump’s tweets. Comey also said the FBI continues to investigate whether Trump’s associates co-ordinated with Russian officials to sway the election through dirty tricks.
