A remote community in BC’s Interior is in mourning after police found four people dead in a home.

RCMP responding to a request for a check on the home near Ashcroft found four bodies inside. No details have been released about the people or the cause of death. Police only saying so far that their preliminary investigation suggests there is no threat to the public.

New Democrats took aim at the Trudeau government in the second debate of leadership hopefuls.

They suggested the government’s plan to legalize marijuanna is up in smoke. The government, however, told CBC the legalization bill is coming within a couple of weeks. They also talked about tuitions fees and skyrocketing student debt.

The NDP chooses its new leader in October.
