The Humanity Project facing eviction

The Humanity Project in Moncton, which helps the homneless, is about to be homeless itself, according to CBC.

Project founder Charlie Burl says his group is being evicted by Curl Moncton from the former Moncton Curlers’ Association building which the Humanity Project has occupied for the 15 months. Curl Moncton wants to sell the building so it can expand.

Moncton City Council refused a request for $200,000 from the Humanity Project so it could buy the building. Burl says they’ve spent three months looking at other locations but none were suitable or within their price range.
