Norovirus in hospital in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent

The medical unit at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent has suspended visitation because of a norovirus outbreak, according to CBC.

People with the illness’s symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea are asked not to come to the hospital to visit inpatients in other units until the symptoms have disappeared.

The acting chief medical officer of health said earlier this week a norovirus was circulating in New Brunswick and that people should be careful and watch for symptoms.
