Hundreds of people are dead and hundreds more missing after massive flooding in southern Columbia.
Heavy rains caused three rivers to overflow and roar through Mocoa, a city of 40,000. The death toll had climbed over 210, however, rescuers fear hundreds more are missing or seriously injured. Hundreds of others are homeless.
In the NHL…Flames lost 4-3 to the Ducks. Sharks downed the Canuks 3-1. Bruins beat the Blackhawks 3-2.
NBA action saw the Raptors beat the Sixers 113-105. Celtics took the Knicks 110-94.
Baseball season opened with Tampa Bay beating the Yankees 7-3. The Blue Jays will open their season in Baltimore this afternoon and the Red Sox take on the Pirates.
