Son keeps promise to mom

An 11 year old Bouctouche boy promised his Mom he would spend his life helping others. Miguel Goguen’s mom died in a car accident last year…but he’s keeping his word, according to Global News.

Goguen prepares food every week for the Humanity Project, which helps house and feed the homeless in Moncton. He says helping the homeless has helped him cope with the loss of his mother.

Pill seized on First Nation contained fentanyl

A pill that was seized on the Esgenoopetitj  First Nation has been confirmed as containing the powerful opioid fentanyl.

The blue pill, marked “Percocet 5”, was seized by RCMP in an investigation of drug use in the community. Five people have been hospitalized in the last week…and a 35 year old woman died from a suspected overdose.
