The province is urging people to become “champions” as part of a campaign to prevent domestic violence. “Love Shouldn’t Hurt” will see all champions initiate one activity a year that engages the public, such as a community talk, walk or run, or a video screening. They’ll receive training, a tool kit, promotional items and up to $500 from the Crime Prevention Association of New Brunswick.

86 issues in Shediac Campground’s environmental assessment
The province has found 86 issues with the proposed Shediac Campground’s environmental impact assessment. Those must be addressed before the project can continue. Health Minister and local MLA Victor Boudreau was among its investors, but he and others have pulled out.
