The U-S State Department is asking the Trump administration for permission to review social media, email addresses and phone numbers from some foreigners seeking U-S visas.

The proposed requirements would apply to people seeking visas who have been to areas controlled by terrorist organizations. They would have to supply information on their visa application about their social media handles and platforms, phone numbers and email addresses from the past five years, as well as 15 years of work and travel history.

Good Samaritan O-D law

There’s a new federal law designed to reduce the number of people who die from drug overdoses.

The Good Samaritan Drug Overdose Act was introduced as a private member’s bill last year. It got royal assent yesterday. The law provides immunity from simple possession charges for anyone calling 9-1-1 to report an O-D.
