More soldiers are heading out to help Quebecers deal with devestating flooding.
Water levels have started to recede in many areas of the province but over 2,700 people are still out of their homes…and could be for awhile. Another 470 reservists are joining the relief efforts of 1,800 troops already helping.
NHL playoffs…Marc Andre Fleury shut down the Capitals 2-0 as the Penguins won game seven of their eastern semi-final. Next up is Ottawa. The Oilers are out after losing to Anaheim 2-1 in game seven of their western semi. The Ducks next play the Predators.
The Sea Dogs are the Q-League champions after beating the Armada 5-1 and sweeping their series in four straight. Now they prepare for the Memorial Cup.
The Blue Jays beat Cleveland 8-7. Red Sox lost 7-4 to the Brewers.
The Hurricanes have advanced to the next round in the NBL playoffs by eliminating the Miracles 121-102.
NBA playoffs…Celtics downed Washington 123-101 to take a three game to two lead.
