Opiate overdose problem

Federal Health Minister Jane Philpott says governments, both provincially and federally, need to take bold action to treat drug users…and do it without judgement.

Philpott told a national meeting of health-care executives more people are expected to die from opioid overdoses this year compared to last when there were almost 2,458 overdose deaths.

More legal trouble for Trump

The attorneys general of Maryland and the District of Columbia have filed a lawsuit against President Donald Trump.

They charge he violated the Constitution by retaining ties to his sprawling business empire and accepted foreign payments while in office. They’re using a little known clause in the Constitution.

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer called it just a partisan attack.
