Canadian accused of terror attack in Michigan

A Canadian man accused of stabbing a police officer at the airport in Flint, Michigan, remains in custody until a bail hearing.

Amor Ftouhi has been charged with stabbing a police lieutenant with a large knife in what is being considered an act of terrorism. The officer is in stable condition in hospital.

American officials have outlined the threat that Russia posed to the U-S presidential election as senate hearings continued in Washington.

The former head of Homeland Security, Jay Johnson, says there were efforts to hack the voting systems in 21 states. He said the Obama administration was concerned about publicly warning of election meddling, since Donald Trump was warning that the vote would be rigged.
