The province is finally starting to release doctors salaries five years after the auditor general recommended it.
The figures on what doctors were paid last year show 24 physicians making over $1 million. The top doc, Stewart MacMillan, a radiologist at the Miramichi Hospital, took in just over $1.5 million.
The Health department points out these are gross earnings and do not take into account expenses such as staff salaries or rent.
A Moncton man and woman were in court yesterday on charges in connection with the standoff Sunday on High Street.
25 year old Daniel Kevin Beaupré is facing three weapons charges. 26 year old Stephanie Elizabeth Mawson is charged with accessory after the fact. Mawson has been released on conditions until her next court appearance July 10th. The Crown is objecting to Beaupre’s release and a bail hearing will be held July 5.
