Apartment fire

Residents were forced out of a six storey apartment buillding in Dieppe yesterday. Everybody got out safely from the building at 777 Gauvin Road.

Investigators say new tenants were moving in and placed boxes on a stove which somehow got turned on starting the fire. The fire department says the building’s fire detection and sprinkler system worked as they should so most of the damage is from water.
