Syrup stealer

A New Brunswick man has been found guilty in court in Quebec for his part in stealing almost $19 million worth of maple syrup.

Etienne Saint-Pierre of Kedgwick was one of four men accused in relation to the theft of 9,500 barrels of maple syrup from the Federation of Quebec Maple Syrup Producers in 2011 and 2012.  Five others charged in the case go to trial in January.

Gagetown exercises

CFB Gagetown is hub of activity as over 1,000 soldiers are taking part in military exercises over the next two weeks. The Common Ground II exercise includes combat training and specific training for various careers in the military. The exercise will run through November 26th.
