A Canadian soldier is dead after being found in a military gymnasium in Jordan.
DND says Major Scott Foote, of Newfoundland, was a logistics officer based out of Kingston. He was in Jordan as part of a team looking at ways Canada could train the Jordanian military. Foote’s death has been classified as non-combat related and an investigation is underway.

NHL action…the Leafs unloaded on the Panthers 6-1. Predators chewed up the Senators 5-1. Bruins were shut down 1-0 by the Wild. Canucks clipped the Coyotes 3-2 in overtime. Kings beat the Oilers 4-2. Jets lost 5-2 to the Flyers.
In the NFL’s Thursday nighter…Carolina downed the Saints 23-20.
