NB schools to mark Diversity and Respect Week

New Brunswick schools will celebrate Diversity and Respect Week next week.  Some of the activities taking place include daily announcements read in different languages, peace assemblies, displaying flags of different countries, a multicultural feast and more.  Diversity and Respect Week replaces Bullying Awareness Week, which has been promoted in our schools since 2012.

Mt. A enrollment could benefit from Trump election

Mount Allison University is apparently going to benefit from the Donald Trump election win.

Associate Registrar Curtis Michaelis told the Times and Transcript the university saw a spike in applications by American students wanting to study here in the days after Trump’s victory.

The morning after the election last week they had 15 applications from the U-S and more have come in since. Mt. A often gets students from New England and the eastern seaboard of the U-S but now they’re also getting applications from the west coast and Hawaii among other states.
