An anti-poverty group is calling on the Trudeau government to amend the Canada Child Benefit in order to keep pace with increases in the cost of living.
Campaign 2000 says the Liberals’ new income-tested benefit could fall short of its lofty goals of combating child poverty because it isn’t automatically adjusted to the increases.
