The autopsy has confirmed drowning as the cause of death for the woman whose body was pulled from the Petitcodiac Sunday.
RCMP don’t know exactly when she drowned but that her body had been in the water for about a day. Foul play is not suspected. RCMP are not releasing her name yet until her family has been notified.
Several people are looking for new, cheap accomodations after the fire department ordered two rooming houses on Dominion Street closed for fire code violations last week.
The Times and Transcript reports 15-18 people have until December 7th to find someplace else to live. The agency Big Hearts Small City is looking around for other rooms but says it’s hard to find a replacement when tenants have only been paying about $300 a month in rent and they also have to come up with money for a security deposit on a new place.
