It’s a stormy Wednesday.

Schools were closed today because of the nasty weather. RCMP were asking people not to travel if they didn’t have to…but people did anyway and traffic was a mess in many places.

There were also a lot of people left in the dark because of power outages….over 14,000 NB Power customers in the greater Moncton area alone.

No reports of injuries in a fire that heavily damaged a house yesterday evening.

Two families were forced out of the house on Cassidy Street as flames shot through the roof…..a man and his son in a basement unit and a young family on the main floor.

There’s no word yet on the cause.
