There’s still no word on the cause of a fire Saturday which forced closure of the Moncton Sports Dome.
It broke out around 9:00pm…but not in the dome itself. It was in a minihome in front which houses the offices and the dome wasn’t damaged. Nobody was hurt…but all activities were cancelled yesterday at the Sports Dome.
One man was temporarily displaced when fire damaged a two-storey four unit apartment building in Moncton Saturday morning.
Firefighters were called to the residence on High Street around 7:30am and found a small fire burning inside a wall. No one was injured.
RCMP were called in to investigate because the fire apparently started on the outside wall.
