Park renamed

Moncton City Council has decided to rename Rene-Arthur Frechet Park to Braemar Park. However, the Times and Transcript reports the name of the park in the Sunny Brae neighbourhood won’t be changed until they find someplace else to name after Frechet, a noted architect in the early 20th century who designed many of Moncton’s most famous buildings.

The councillors also decided to change the name of nearby Sunny Brae Park to Sunny Brae Memorial Park.

The study’s purpose is to look at current and future requirements, identify opportunities and constraints to the provision of affordable housing in the two cities. You’re invited to fill out a survey online on the subject at Moncton.ca.
