NB teens need more sleep

More than half of the province’s young people aren’t getting enough sleep.

A report by the New Brunswick Health Council says over 60% of youth and children are not sleeping at least 8 hours a night, partly because of technology.  The report says recreational use of devices with screens before bedtime has been shown to delay people falling sleep.

Hate crime in Edmonton

Edmonton police are investigating after two young Muslim women were confronted at a bus stop.

Police say a man came up, fashioned a noose out of a piece of rope he had in his pocket and said it was meant for them. Then he sang O Canada,

No charges have been laid, but police say a hate crime charge is possible.
