Riverview Town Council will finalize its budget for next year tonight.
Councillors were hoping to avoid an increase in the tax rate, according to the Times and Transcript. They are also expected to approve the five year strategic plan request development proposals for the public works garage site at Trites and Pine Glen Roads.
A Young moose that fell through the ice was rescued by firefighters in Shediac Saturday.
Half a dozen volunteer firefighters arrived on the scene to rescue the moose from the Shediac River. They used axes to chop up the ice and open a path through the ice to shore. The young moose then clambered ashore and took off into the woods.
