Parks Canada’s Annual Christmas Bird Count goes Friday. Fundy National Park is one of 20 New Brunswick sites taking part. The event starts at 8am, with lunch hosted by the Fundy Guild between 11:30-2.

A Moncton man has pleaded guilty to his part in a home invasion last year downtown.
43 year old Shawn Augustine was in court yesterday to plead guilty to being unlawfully in a dwelling house and assault. The Crown dropped more serious charges. He will be sentenced January 9.
Augustine underwent a trial on more serious charges earlier this year, but that ended in a mistrial.
A 50 year old woman was abducted by several men from her Gordon Street home in 2015 and driven to Sackville where she was released unharmed. But then the perpetrators went back to the house and assaulted a 26 year old man who suffered serious injuries.
