Improvements, more funding for Preschool Autism Intervention Program

The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development is introducing an enhanced model and more funding for the Preschool Autism Intervention Program.  Funding will go from $27,500 to almost $33,000 per child, and training for parents will be provided among other measures.  Online training is also available to personnel working with autistic preschoolers.

Former newspaper editor suing Brunswick News over Larry’s Gulch scandal

The former managing editor of the Moncton Times & Transcript is suing Brunswick News over the Larry’s Gulch scandal.  The company says he wanted assistant editor Murray Guy to ask the government to hide Guy’s 2013 trip to the Restigouche fishing lodge.  Al Hogan says he just wanted the listing fixed, which said Guy was there as a paper rep.  Host NB Liquor had actually invited him.
