A 27 year old man was killed in a single vehicle accident in Oromocto yesterday.
Nicholas Lannigan’s van went off Waasis Road and hit a tree. Lannigan from the Oromocto First Nation was the lone occupant.
CBC reports Lannigan was honoured with a bravery award in 2007 when he and other teens rescued a man from a burning building.
Copper thieves did a lot of damage to Pine Acres RV in the Caledonia Industrial Park.
The Times and Transcript reports they damaged at least 50 holiday trailers while stealing copper wire from the units and storage areas. Owner Mathew Brown said damages will be at least $20,000. He says repairing the trailers will each require three or four hours work.
