A man charged in a shooting downtown before Christmas was in court for a bail hearing yesterday and will find out today whether he gets it.
30 year old Christopher Eric Dickie is charged with aggravated assault and other counts. He’s also charged with breaching probation on other matters which is why the Crown objected to bail. After hearing arguments, the judge delayed her decision until later today.
A Codiac RCMP cruiser and a mini-van collided yesterday afternoon at Vaughan Harvey Boulevard and Edmonton Avenue just west of downtown.
The Times and Transcript reports the cruiser was trying to catch up to a car that had run a red light when he collided with the mini-van. The officer was not injured, but the woman driving the minivan was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
