Two men were arrested on Friday after the RCMP searched a business in Campbellton identified as a Medical Marijuana dispensary. RCMP say they began investigating after receiving complaints about the business at 12 Subway Street in late December. On Friday police executed a search warrant at the business and seized a substantial quantity of marijuana and edible marijuana products. A 33-year-old man from Dieppe and a 22-year-old man from Riverview were arrested and later released. Both will appear in Campbellton Provincial Court in June.

Belleisle Man Escapes Injury in Plane Crash
A man from Belleisle escaped injury after his ultralight plane crashed during an attempted takeoff on Friday. RCMP say the plane was trying to take off from an icy surface when it failed to clear the tree line and one of the aircraft’s wings got caught in a tree. Pilot Doug Desruisseau was able to climb out of the plane on his own and was checked out at a hospital in Saint John as a precaution.
