Centennial Beach will now be closed into next week for repairs.
Lining is separating from the asphalt base at the man-made beach, which is messing with water levels. The lining has to be taken out, and the water replaced and tested. Any asphalt cracks would need repair too.
A house has been destroyed by fire in Damascus near Hammond.
No one was home when it broke out on Damascus Road yesterday afternoon around 3:00. A firefighter required medical attention because of an elevated heart rate. A dog and two cats were killed.
